The raw material
With Evolon® a technological revolution has been achieved: Microfilaments or super-microfilaments, a new generation of microfibers.
Polyester and polyamide granules are converted into endless, star-shaped filaments. In the next step, these filaments are split into microfilaments and then joined together again in a further process using high pressure water and solidified in such a way that a material with a compact fibre structure is produced. This process is unique and patented worldwide.
Evolon® shows very good textile and mechanical properties. Like the traditional microfiberone, it is soft, flexible and light, but at the same time very resistant, has a high absorption capacity, but is also breathable and dries quickly. The advantages of microfilaments over microfibers can be summarized as follows.
